True Love Is Rare
Love is a certain feeling toward the beloved, whereby the lover is prevented from seeing that a fool is a fool, that a liar liesi that a drunkard drinks, and that a nagger nags. Tis a literal fact that love is blind; m proportion as it ceases to be blind, it ceases to be love, Toleration is a thing distinct from love; toleration is the result of sejf-disciplinej and sometimes is ' sufficiently refined to appear to be love. Love is practically never reciprocated. Two lots of love m one home would be a double dose. Fortunately, for domestic peace, toleration and appreciation are precious substitutes for reciprocation.
