SOLDIER GOVERNOR -GENERAL.
General Sir Charles Fer^usson, Bart, X.C.8., K.C.M.G:, D.5.0., M.V.0., is to succeed Viscount Jellicoe as GovernorGeneral of the Dominion. > He is a son of the late Sir James Fergusson, who was Governor of New Zealand for a period m the 70's, and later Governor of Bombay. The new Governor-Gen-eral's brother, Sir James Fei-giisson, served as Rear-Admiral commanding the First Light Cruiser squadron from July, 1920, to April, 1922. ' :
