The entries for the Wellington Competitions this year again form a rer cord, numbering m all 3038 or 21 m excess of last year. They are" allotted as follows, last year's being, in parentheses. Instrumental, 347 (337); vocal, 984 (1123); elocution, 1370 (1259); dancing, 320, (274); coyer design, 20 (34). ' • Miss. Dorothy Mills has been appointed official accompanist, for the musical monologues. . ' A suggestion made by the secretary of the British Federation of Competitions that arrangements might be made to secure a first- class adjudicator from England was favorably received and if possible will be acted upon.
