The New Zealand team got away .by the Marama according to programme, all fit and no one missing. The Mayor I of Wellington, Mr.R. A. Wright, MJ?., handed them and Soccer footbaU generally rather a nice compliment m bidding them farewell m full civic fashion — quite an unusual procedure, though visiting teams are as a rule accorded a civic welcome. There* was no formal send-off on the wharf, but Soccer people turned up m good force and with them stood representatives of the Wellington and New Zealand Rugby Unions, another bright little compliment which members of the team will not forget. . The friendly spirit helps both games along. v ■
