DEMPSEY'S NEXT FIGHT.
May be with Brennan. Wills' Weighty Wallop. So, a Dempsey- Brennan match may still come off despite the recent vetoing of such a battle by the "all highest and supreme ruling" of the Noo Yawk Boxing Commission. What is it? A set up to land a little dough, a preliminary gallop for the champion before he takes on Wills or Willard; or is it that Wills' recent 3-roundkayoing of Tut Jackson has caused Dempsey's manager to side-track the dusky chair lenger and rush into negotiations for the Brennan bout? Whatever the motive of the sudden change is, if the battle comes off it will be an out and out imposition on a. long-suffering and docile, public. Serving up a lamb for the slaughter is not m the same street as serving up Brennan to the champion. He'll kill him — if, off course, -he is all out from the word go. Brennan took eight long rounds to skittle skinny, fiat- chested Jim Tracey, so it's safe betting to say that Bill is a mighty slow and crude fighter. f
