In view of the next meeting a few horses are being sent along- at "Wingatui, but there has been little of interest to record. . Two of "Bill" Crossan's mares, Parable and Aphaea, are reported to be m foal to the imported Gay Lad. Mr A. D. Mclvor is to officiate at the starting barrier at the Kurow and Oamaru meetings. At Woodeaton last Saturday the Otago Hunt Club held a point-to-point steeplechase meeting. it was an interesting afternoon and several hundred people were there. Skylark, owned by Mr D. Robertson, won m the heavyweights while Rockhampton, m the nomination of Mrs McKay, led the field home m the lightweight division. M. S. McKay's Disappointment scored m the Junior Members' Steeplechase.
