DAY'S DOINGS.
On Arthur Hunt Day (21) being brought up for sentence on charges of breaking, entering and theft at Whangarei, the report of the probation officer was favorable and recommended probation, with which the Crown Prosecutor, Mr. V. R. Meredith, agreed. It was mentioned that the pffences really amounted to petty thieving, the stolen articles being of little value. His Honor placed Day pn probation for three years and ordered" him to pay tho costs of the profioontlon, £2 10s.
