SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A FATHER.

Andrew Murray Boggs, a married man, of Featherston, was charged at the Wellington Magistrate's Court with committing incest with his daughter between January 14 and February 14 1920.

Evidence was given by the girl, -who is now only 15 years of age, to the effect that her father first commenced to interfere with her when she was nine years of age. The girl recently gave birth to a male child at the Salvation' Arjmy Maternity Home. The girl first alleged .that "a Jockey boy" was responsible for her condition, but m a subsequent statement to the police she implicated her father.
