JBpth were In the pink, and at the end of the scheduled fl/teen rounds were good enough to go on • for a long time. Facoorey has a good, vworkmanllke straight left, and he worked It m fairly frequently. He set a good pace from the, start, and gave a fine exhibition of clean, open fighting, but Cann j was much the cleverer Jn . the In- i fighting and thereby kept himself forward m the scoring. In- the last few rounds the challenger livened things up and there were some lively interchanges, but Cann was not out to be wiped up, and, despite Facoorey's spirited bid for the title, he continued to hold his own and a bit more In the scoring, the tally of which was taken by Tim Tracy, who said, after declaring Cann the winner on points, that the challenger was not far bohlnd the winner. ! Wanganul Is having a tourney next '■

Altogether It was a decent little exhibition, and as there was a bumper house and solid takings at the door, the club should be encouragad to stage more scraps.
