This time she intends to see the sights, but will accept an engagement should the opportunity offer. Irene Castle ■will shortly be seen m "Th© First Law," which being- interpi'eted means, the law of self-preser-vation, and "The Girl from Bohemia." With the former goes a Larry Semon comedy, "The Grocery Clerk," which has been described as a "ring- tailed, 'oobby-dazzler," fit to be classed with a Chaplin. The. first pictures released m New Zealand under the new classification of "Recommended more especially for adult' audiences" are "The Tong Man," starring Sessue Hayakawa, and "The Lone Wolf's Daughter," 'featuringLouise Glaum, "Hi;; Bridal Light," with Alice Brady as two twin brides, and David W. Griffith's latest superfeature "The Greatest Question." The new log of the Actors' Federation of Australia has been submitted to the theatrical management, and is calculated to make those gentlemen sit up and take notice. The minimum salary asked for employees other than chorus, ballet and supernumeraries, is £8 per week, for the ballet and chorus £ 6 per week, and for supernumeraries £4 per week. In "The Bondage of Barbara." .that appealing little bif of femininity, Mac Marsh, appears for the first time m trousers — and she makes a charming boy. The story might have been written specially for her, it so admirably suits her style. If the' Goldwyn people continue to select similar stories for this popular little star, there will be no limit to the bounds of popularity she will achieve. Prince Teddy has only to touch' anything and it immediately becomes famous." The fact that he amused himself with an old barrel-organ while m Dunedin has given a new lease of life to the instrument. Of course, the fact was cabled to Britain and immediately all the musical journals there reviewed the origin of tho barrel -or -ran. Hove is a chance for organ-grinders the world over to bump up their collections by placarding their instruments with the announcement "as played by the Prince o£ Wales."
