The following excei'pt from the Toronto "Saturday night" will eerve to show how the deadly drug habit follows m the%ake of Prohibition: — "Tihe import of cocaine for consumption m Canada m 1015, the year before Prohibition came Into effect, m all but one province, the amount was 50 ounces. The following year it was over 5000 ounces. For the fiscal year, ending March, 1919, it was over 12,000 ounces. , The traffic m morphine grew from. 259 ounces m 1915 to 30,000 ounces m 1910. - The amount of opium imported for consumption m Canada was a little ■ over 7000 pounds m 1915, iwherea's for, ' the year ending: March 81 bust It vram ' overr 84,000 pounds."
