"THE SMILING DIGGER."

A very fine souvenir of New Zealand's part m the Great War, suitable for framing and hanging on the wall, has been produced by Messrs. Hanna and King, of Wellington. It comprises an enlarged portrait of the New Zealand "Digger" and a series of tables printed at the foot giving the dates of all the memorable battles m which the New Zealand Expeditionary Force participated, the number of awards and decorations won,, and eloquent figures, illustrating, as nothing else can, the sacrifices New Zealand made m manpower. The portrait of the Digger, which is painted m colors, is unquestionably an excellent piece of worlc. It is from the brush of Mr. M. King. It is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.
