"THE FISHT FOR FREEDOM."
The Jugoslavs. The Jugoslavs' fight for freedom, which is one of the vital questions m the balancing: of Europe now before the Peace Conference, is the- subject of a small volume entitled "The Fight for Freedom," which "Truth" has just received from the publishers m Auckland. ; The book sets forth m intimate detail the political ideals of the Southern Slavs, narrating the story of their contribution towards the overthrow of the Aiistro-Hungarian Empire, and interpreting the significance of the events which have occurred since the formation of the new Jugoslav State m relation to the final peace settlement. It is written, of course, from the point of view of the Jugoslavs m the North, but it seems to have been fairly compiled, and is an exhaustive publication from the point of view of the publicist. . At the moment, ns a book of reference, it has Its distinct uses. The volume has been edited and m part prepared by Mr. G. L. Scansie, editor of "Zora" ("The. Dawn").
