Ah this is the fifth time Mr. Congdon lias won this cup it now becomes his personal property, and he receives as well a gold medal. Mr. Key received the second prize — the set of balls played with — and Mr. W. N. Tuclvfir receives an Alcock cue and case for the highest break made by a non-winner. In presenting the prises, the manager of Alcock's congratulated the winners on their skilful and sportsmanlike exhibitions, and expressed the regret that both Mr. Congdon and Mr. Key were not able to compete m the New Zealand Championship just held. In responding, Mr. Congdon thanked Messrs. Alcock for the excellent facilities afforded the contestants and for the courtesy extended to them and the public.
