The Auckland Art Union
To be Drawn November 22.
It is now announced that the Art Union being conducted by. the Auckland Patriotic and War Relief Association is to be drawn on November 22. With the return of "the men from battle, all more or less maimed or broken m health, the funds of the Auckland Patriotic and War Relief,. Association have been showing signs of the heavy increasing drain which is being made upon them. In addition, the Association is under an obligation to attend to the wants of the wives, children, and other dependents of these incapacitated soldiers. With a view to guarding against contingencies, the Association wisely decided to augment the relief funds as much as possible, and for this purpose the rapid medium of an Art Union was chosen. Valuable prizes, comprising mostly sections of land, make up the list of 4-1 prizes, valued at £3072. Every shilling ticket purchased has 44 chances of- pulling off the big plums. Mr. Arch. A,. Donald, hon. organiser, box 244, Auckland, will be pleased to mail tickets to any-part of New Zealand. A reference to our advertising columns will supply fuller particulars.
