COMBING OUT.

Dear "Truth,"— On or about twelve months ago the Hon. Minister of Defence announced m this press that astrict system of combing-out would immediately be put In hand for the Wellington camps. If this has been done, all I can say is. that Sir James Allen has used a particularly large-sized comb, in* the shape of shear tegs. A large number have escaped, and are still kicking their heels around the camps, and have been there for some years. In all probability they will stop there. Among these are included a number of coldfooted ' warriors from Hastings, who have found a safe refuge m the Trentham Camp for the* last two years. They visit their town at intervals dust to see how the war babies are and show off their khaki uniform. These jokers are eating thelß heads off, and should be sent to the front. If gross favoritism is not rampant m Trentham, then some stale, fish has come ashore.— Yours, etc., "BOLO."
