As a result of the allegations: made by the girl. Detective De Norvillo brought her beforo tho Court and she was sent to the Door of Hope. On Tuesday the detectives arreatod Ah Poo, ML Eden-road; Ah Fong, Valley-road; Ah" Gin. Ponsonby-road; Chung Queen, Pitt-street; and Sing Soon, Grey-strceL On Wednesday morning, the quintette, apparently all young men, were brought before Magistrate .Frarer and charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of the thirteen-year-old girl Chief Detective McMahon ASKED FOR A REMAND till Friday, but Lawyer Wilson, who appeared for the "Chows," proferrod Tuesday, and the latter date was agreed to. The Chief Dotective asked that the ball be substantial, and his Worship fixed the amount at £200 each
