A well-built young man named George Modrlck, an Austrian, In appearance about 28 years of age, was charged at the Auckland Magistrate's Court on Monday, that on December 20, ho unlawfully supplied an Instrument to Isabella Frances Hounhara, knowing the same to bo used for the purpose of procuring miscarriage,

Sub-Inspector Mcllveney watched on behalf of George Fifth, and Lawyer Singer appearing for Modrlok.
It w<lb decided that th©. evidence m the Indictable case would also suffice for the afllllatlon. affair.
After evidence had boen taken, accused pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence and was committed for trial.
The further hearing of the charge that Modrlck is the father of the child wub adjourned till December 6, after tho Supreme Court trial.
Ball wan allowed m one aurety of £100 or two of £50.
