A NATURALISED SUBJECT'S POSITION
! Dear "Truth,"— Knowing your sense of fair play (you always give the bottom dog a lift up), I -appeal to you to give publicity to the following facts, which are of interest to more individuals than the writer: — I was born m Germany, of German parents, came to New Zealand, and was naturalised as a British subject some twenty-two years ago. Leaving Wellington I came to Wanganui, -where I" have worked 1 for eight years permanently and fourteen years casually. lam a naturalised British subject, and have been since my arrival m the Dominion. The other day, m my . capacity as driver for' a wellknown firm, I went to the warehouse for a load, but was informed that they would not give me one, as they had nothing to do with ( foreigners ! Consequently, I lost my billet, and am now out of .employment. Can you tell me what- constitutes a British subject and what benefits or privileges are to be gained by becoming one by naturalisation? By kindly giving publicity to this matter you will greatly oblige an old reader. — Yours, etc., FAIR FLAY. WanganuL , •
