Maid of Daringale's double viotory at Nelson recently, came as a big surprise after her form at various South Island meetings this season. Her private track time is said to bo top-notch and it's probable Bhe'll snare more laurels now she's started. Waltchle, one of the winners at Gore last week, is stable mate with the woll-known Tommy C. m the Oamaru district. He caught at Oamaru late last year, then, after badly misfiring In his first raco at Gore, was first past the post, second start, with F. E. Jones up. Clingschlld m working well, although a bit lighter m condition than ordlnaruy. Lucky Mount, m Tom Fox's stable, is being given a good go at Addington, and paces well. Hamapuka has been brought tip from Timaru way and is moving m good stylo on the Motrop. Annie K. put up a great burst of speed m tho two-mile at Goro last week, but spoilt her chance of pipping tho race by breaking early m ttio chapter.
