The third and final of, the series of three games between Tom Recce and Fred Xilndrum, junr. (England v. Australia), now Leing played m Messrs. Heiron and Smith's hall, at Billiards, Limited, Sydney, promises to be a close and determined fight to a finish, as, besides the £250 already on the result, a good, deal of side-wagering is being indulged m between the friends of both players. Each having a game to' his credit, they are now having a strong cut for the rubber, and that both are "all out" is' clearly demonstrated m the closeness of the play, the determination which marks the amassing of their breaks with safety tactics interspersing* the consistent play. Apart from the monetary consideration attached to the result, each has a high reputation to sustain, and thus, m their earnest endeavors to billiardly annihilate each other, .sparkling and captivating billiards and breaks consistently flow from the cues of each. ! * * * ' Fred Weiss is playing m remarkably fine form m Brisbane. He has played several games since his return north, and m each has given excellent performances. The ex-champion, it is understood, would be willing to concede Frank Smith, the New South Wales champion, a start of 4000 points m a game of 18^000 up for a moderate side wager. ■ * • • Snooker players should not fail to get m and secure all the practice that is possible if they intend entering for ' the Regent Westminster's Snooker ! Handicap mentioned m last week's issue. The Handicap has necessarily created a deal of interest amongst the locar talent and it is to bo hoped that those interested will exerciso all they know how to make this Handicap the forerunner of otherH to follow.
