A FULL SHIP
SYDNEY, December -7
The Union Company's intercolonial liner, Maunganui, sailed for Wellington at 4.80 p.m. on Saturday, with 300 passengers and 200 tons of cargo. /'A full ship," says the "Dominion" cable crammer. "A fool's ship" would better describe the description. The "-Dominion" says tho Maunganui' sailed for Wellington "with 800 passengers anil 200 tons of cargo." This it colls "a full ship." Now, tho Maunganui is bringing- 6U tons of cargo And no passengers more . than the '/Dominion" alleges qualifies her for. tho term "a full ship" — and yet she is "not full ! As tho junior oftteo boy of the Union Company could .have informed tho voracious reporter of Bill Mnssey's penny boome**, tho vessel m question, at this season of tho year, usually brings 1000 tons of cargo, or more than flvo times what the doddery dodging "Dominion" declares makes her a "full ship." "Truth's" rep. isn't stating these things ofT his own bat. Ho has seen an oillcial of tho U.S.S. Company and has been assured of the facts as stated. Further, not only had the Maunganui plenty of room, for the 110 passengers she brought more than tho "Dominion" declared made her chokfi-a,-bloke, but there was plenty of room for many more. ■+
