HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
Fuller's Pictures.
The popularity of this theatre has increased to such an extent of late 1 that now the ordinary seating accommodation is quite inadequate to cope with the crowds who seek admission, and it has become the practice to permit late arrivals to go behind the screen, where, except for seeing the pictures reversed, they can see just as well as from the auditorium. Some excellent films are now being shown. "The Vestal" is a •dramatic representation of ancient Roman things, and illustrates the story of a maiden who was deceived by a priest m the temple o£ Vesta, ami* induced, by Mm to join the Vestal virgins. Her lover, whom the priest had . led her to believe was dead, puts m an appearance m the nicK of time to save her from an. ignominious death. "Wilful Peggy" is a romance of another kind, being laid m the early days of Erin's Isle. "Army Manoeuvres" is interesting, but far more so are the pictures of the recent Melbourne Cup, m which Comedy King is seen winning this famous race, the incidental views of the grand-stand, lawn, and surroundings being an eye-opener to those whose experiences of racecourses is limited to Trentham. Other pictures include "Her First Long Dress," "The Usurer,". "Heart of Sioux," "Timber . Industry,'' "Cowboy's Stratagem," etc. A matinee will be held this afternoon.
