CHRISTCHURCH SHOWS.
THEATRE ROYAL.
"The Great World of London."
Anderson's companies always 'appeal to the great thrill-loving, sentimental public, of which Christchurch is an excellent sample. There is a fair amount of violence m "The Great World of London," a drama which embodies most of the human passions, and which Mr William Anderson has mounted m splendid, style and depicts with the aid of a talented company. Names like Vivian Edwards, John De Lacey, and Miss Kate Gair, m heroic scenes, Herbert Linden, Crosbie Ward, and Alfred Holland, m villainous casts,- and Chas. Throsby, David Lister, Edwin Green and others, m comic roles, are guarantees of something more than excellent m the way of acting, and the scenery and mechanical effects give a realism to the piece that enthralls an enthusiastic ■ audience. On Saturday night "Man to Man" will be staged, 'to be followed by "Life's Revenge" and "The Female Swindler." Then the company departs for Austral's golden shore.
