THEATRE ROYAL.
World Wide Pictures.
The lattractive programme of animated pictures provided by the Fuller proprietary at the Theatre Royal has heen up to its reputation, and the popularity of the house shows no sign of diminishing. The operator has his machine tuned to a fine degree of perfection, and his control is marvellous, the absence of flicker being a noteworthy feature, and i this renders the production of the pictures a pleasure to witness. "Mid Southern Seas" is a fine film, and "A Trip on the Imperial Canal," delineating Chinese
scenery, is a most finished piece of work, the anlooker getting an excellent idea of what China is like. The mirth-provok-ing pictures include : "Bridal Couple Dodging "the Camera Fiend," "Tribulations of a Mayor," "Mr Hayseed's Bargain," and "A Case of Apricots." The dramatic pictures were excellently finished, and included, "The Shepherd m Love," "The Romany's Model," and "Blue Bird." Ben, the general manager of the concern, promises a startling surprise for his patrons to-night, the chief item being "Life m Mid-air," showing Count Zepplin's- ascent m his now famous air-ship. Mr John Fuller, head of the firm, who is now touring Europe, was fortunate enough to see one of these ascents, and with his usual astuteness, managed to secure the rights of the film, with a view to supplying New Zealanders with a genuine reproduction of the ■ feat. Mr John also secured some other especially stirring pictures, and these will be exhibited to-night. A private view of the film was granted a "Truth" representative, and Fuller "patrons are assured of an inestimable treat.
