Endeavour Lodge.
Next I called upon Albert Goodman, who is m charge or this stable during the absence of J. Lowe m Australia. At present there are nine horses m the stable ahd they all look well. Sir Frisco looks as if he has been kept right up to the collar since Levin, and will he seen out at Otaki and Wellington. Irsinui was railed to Hastings on..Tuesday and this lilly will alqo be given a run at Otaki. . fcihe looks well and should score before long. . The ichestnut marc , ElTort has grown into a really good looking animal and has been responsible for some sound gallops on the training tracks. It is ..more than probable that sho will be faken to Riccarton at the conclusion of the local fixture. The Mauser gelding Flintguu who broke his duck at Levin is m fine buckle. He will be a starter at Otaki next week. On looks he should make a good hurdle horse. Bluebell, who was only taken up again" m August after a .three paonths' spell.
looks pretty robust on it. She will start at both Otaki and Wellington, but may be better for a race or two before serious business is tried. ,
Axite is being given an east time after his success at Wang-anui. He will most likely strip m some of the skorter hack races at Trentham.
Wharekura, who was throw* out of training after the last Wellington meeting, is again m active work.. He is nominated at Gisborne, and if J. Lowe is back from Australia Goodman will make the trip North with him. ■
There are a pair of two-year-olds m the stable; viz., Royal Guard, who ' was purchased at the Yaldhurst disposal sale by the Hon. Jas. Carroll, and Sea Queten, 1 who has been 1 leased by J. Lowe fromher breeder, Mr 0. S. Watkins. Both youngsters have been broken m and ; arc m a very forward condition. Altogether the whole team' reflects the highest credit on Goodman and Jack, Lowe is. extremely fortunate m having such a capable 1 righthand man. " . ;
