A gathering of Melbourneites tooK pi.aM at Kelburne last Saturday evening to wish good luck and a safe return to the Dominion to Mr Jim Steele, who is having a well-earned holiday after three years' sojourn m "God's Own Country.'* The programme consisted of song, storyf and shikker, and with a record numbefi of intervals proved most enjoyable. Tha Chairman Stout Robby, Barman Bill Perks and Taranaki Revell, with Bei* Sandford, Chief Musician, worked hard, for. the enjoyment of the guests. Contributors were: E. Little, E. Woodhead, fil.. Spotswood (who rendered -'A Little Bit Off the Top"), E. W. Marriner, Joe Parkes, J. Orr, Tut Ryan, L.- D. Paul, B. Cromie and J. Rowe. The parting at. a very early hour and the last motion will be ever remembered, and the afternoon of Sunday found a large number recuperating at Day's \ Bay. Lucky. Jim' was accorded a great send-off at the boat.-
