TOWN HALL.

Macmahon's Exquisite Pictures.

After a triumphal tour of the Dominion the^Messxs McMahon opened a Wellingtonseason at the' Town Hall on Thursday evening last, when their delightful and exquisite pictures were presented for, and certainly received the approval of, a Wellington audience, and again last evening were shown, to the delight and (entire jsatisf action of a big house, which was »nrianinious m declaring the exquisite pictures the best ever shown m Wellington. There is about these, pictures a delicacy and daintiness about them rendering them super laltively superior to the common stock scenes we have grown accustomed to. There is a long and varied list of Japanese and French p cjures which is bound to evoke the heartiest of applause. Moreover, there is an entire absence of that flicker which ' has hitherto seemed irremediable. This fact m itself is a first-class recommendation. The pictures are really a work of mechanical genius. Everything is bright and clear and is very creditable to the .management. - Miss Lorraine Tansley, the gifted New Zealand contralto, was heard to "great; advantage m several songs, for which she was recalled, "Truth," thinks that the Messrs MacMahon will enjoy a very successful season m Wellington, and it certainly commends the, pictures to the ami'is^meintlovers of this city.
