Wellington Amateur Provincial Championships.

The Wellington Boxing; Association!* provincial amateur competitions are set do t wn for next Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the Opera House, and "Truth. is sanguine of pug patrons rol-> ling up m great force, primarily becausa the prices of admission are reasonable, the Association having wisely determine ed that the Question of admission feet should not be a bar to any wishing to see what promises to be some keenlycontested bouts. Record entries for all classes have been received. In &dditioni to the local aspirants for amateur ouk fame, the Manawatu Boxing Association is to be represented by a strong ieam, which is .being coached by Bob Rollo< So certain are the Manawatu Associa* tion of capturing more than one championship, that the committee are coming down to give their reps, courage. Marlborough and the West Coast are to bt represented, and as Tim Tracy, Lane, and McKibbon have some promising colts m hand, and as. great rivalry, exists between the mentors, it can be safe io assume that a/ Tracyite and &> Macite or Laneite won't go under \ without putting up a fight. A notable defection this year is Ben Tracy, who, though shaping as well as ever, has decided not to hav^ his beauty marred yet awhile.
