Rickard's Vaudeville Company.
The periodical Visits of Mr Harry Rickards' Vaudeville Company are always hailed with great satisfaction m this <city, because Harry Rickards can always be depended upon to send a star combination out on tour. The company will open at the Opera House- next Thursday evening for a short season, and the strength of the company may he guaged from the eulogistic press notices that have been written down South. The Klos Sisters everywhere m Australia have created a sensation, and a Christchurch paper, speaking of their turn, says : "The feats of strength which they include m their pretty gymnastic evolutions are more remarkable -. than any other vaudeville combination that has appeared m Christchurch. Their accomplishments are the fruits of exceptional daring and skill. In everything they do they are thoroughly graceful, and they succeed m feats that border on the marvellous." The Bros. Artois arc also singular gymnasts, while the Miles-Stavor-dale quintette are a troupe o£ musicians whose performances on the banjo and harp are delightful and delicious. ■An old I favorite is Miss Alma Gray. Miss Lottie Kay possesses a sweet soprano voice, while other old favorites m Messrs Leonard Nelson and Geo. Dean are hound to renew the successes they have achieved m the past. The Collier Sisters are described as pretty dancers, and taking the list of \ artists throucrh and through, Mr Rickards' company should have a record season m Wellington.
