■ . — ♦ ■ •■ A new firm of auctioneers, land and estate agents, valuers, etc., under the title of A. L. Wilson and Company, has started business m this city. Very fine premises have been secured m Panama-street, opposite the D.I.C. The building is particularly suited for the auctioneering part of the business, being roomy and well lighted. Mr A. L. Wilson, the principal of the firm, is a well-known figure m Wellington business circles. He has been m business here for over fifteen years, most of that time as one of the partners of the firm of Mac Donald Wilson and Co. What Mr Wilson doesn't know about land m New Zealand is not worth knowing. He has been here over forty years, and has been m the business for the greater por- | tion of that time. In 1897 ho made a special valuation of the city of Wellington at the instance of the Government and again a part re-valuation m 1900. He has had also extensive dealings m stock and is looked upon as one of the daddy horse sellers m the colony. Needless to say, Mr Wilson is well-known, and an he Is universally popular, the new firm should flourish and crow mighty m the land.
