Among those present at a recent Masterton Football Club gathering was one Jim Ah Lop, who dons the jersey occasionally. Again three " cheers for a white New Zealand. Perhaps some day Jim Ah Lop will be a famous "All Black." It was galling, very galling, after he'd written to the Postal Department about the non-delivery of an important letter, on going back to find what time the "pillar v ' vi»as cleared, to discover that he'd actually posted his letter m a. rubbish bin. A Napier correspondent calls attention to the performance of A. Tronson, who, playing for the Taradale Club this season, has captured 27 wickets for 103 runs, or an average of 4.18. This lad, he states, i has just turned sixteen and annexed t the bowling average, not only for his club, but m the junior competition also. His best performance (7 for 8) was made against the United Club. Our correspondent thinks that as this is his first season thp youngster should be heprd of again. We I aie ofthe same opinion, too.
