SAILORS' REST.

A concert organised by Mr A. S. Ballance was given at the Sailors', Rest on Monday night, and was attended by an enthusiastic audience .of sailors, amongst whom were a large number of men belonging to the i various vessels of the squadron now m port. # The following ladies and gentlemen assisted : Misses Newton and Hunt, Messrs A. S. Ballance, Newton, Carr, Blundell, W. Howell, Hunt, and Watts. Each item of the long programme was heartily encored. At the close the Superintendent (Mr Wearn) moved a vote of thanks, which was carried amid cheering.
