His reasons . for turning, so he told the "Otago Daily Times," is that Sir Joe Flunkey's policy is a moderate Liberalism. Very moderate • indeed 1 if a worshipper of fat -like Tom Mc.Kensae can support it. But what are the working men going to do ?. What are the lean ones going to do,' 1 and they are m the majority. Are they going to be sat on by Flunkey Ward, for the sake of enabling Tom JifoKenzie to /Call himself a Liberal ? There is v another thing that should be noticed. .;? (Considering that not one-tenth .of the population m Southland are Roman Catholics, I ask is this fair or just 1 No] it is not ; but it is just what may be expected from a sneak and" a schemer like the upstart flunkey JoeWard.
