The match was played on Thursday and Friday week. Thursday (turned out a drizzling- day, but the teaii^s were anxious to play. : The < game started at ••10.30,^ Wellington .winning the toss took first strike, and when, play stopped by -rairv at 3 o'clock had 7 wickets down for 220. Everybody 'expected this to be .wiped- but quick and lively, but it wasn't. It was just about v as exciting a match as one wanted to see.
