EXHIBITION NUMBERS.

Returns Laid Before Parliament. Readers of "Truth" will remember that prior to the Exhibition opening the British Empire Trading Co., on behalf of Old Judge Cigarettes, offered a prize of £100 to the person who made the nearest guess to the number of people visiting the big show. The figures have just been laid before Parliament, and prove the numbers at 1,958.394. Mr James Peace, of Clifton (Southland) made the best guess, at 1,958,406. He has, therefore, been handed the Company's cheque as winner. Considering the big figures, Mr Peace must be congratulated pn his marvellous prophecy.
