THE WANGANUI WEIGHTS.

The weights for the three principal events at the Spring Meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club have been declared, by Mr G. Morse. In the Flying Handicap, Lord Soult has Ost 3ib, aiid allows St. Claimer 41b. At Rangitikei this pair were both on the same mark alter St., Claimer had put Uy. a sft penalty for winning at Horowhenua. Helen Portland has Bst 9ft, and there is a drop to Gold Crest Bst. Toa Tuhi, 7st 13ft, reads well, as does Finery 7st 6ft, and- Frisco 7st 4ft . - .

Helen' Portland is. the chopping block m the Spring Handicap, and is giving Aeolus 4ft.. Of the two, I prefer the latter. The Lark. Bst 411) i and St. Joe on the same mark, have chances, and Ellerton, Bst 31b, looks the pick of the handicap. Retidrock, 7st 61b, has repent, form to recommend him. ahd of the light weights I prefer Swimming Belt, 7st lib.

The field for the Okehu Hurdles will be small, and Asteroid, lOst 4ft, and St. Albert, 9st -9ft, may supply the winner.
