ANTI-SOCCER STRIKERS.
Two juvenile law-breakers, ' Thomas and Albert Dawson, came before; the Magistrate's Court lasff week, charged with wilfully damaging tWo! gaol posts at Pelichet Bay, ' tfc property of the Otago Football Association. The lads confessed their guilt. Sub-Inspector Norwood, late of Christchurch, told the Court that' the youths had used a saw to brijip;, to earth these goal posts, which were valued at 20s. They had since: evinced regret, and had made good the damage. The police did not ask* for a heavy penalty, as the lads', parents were confirmed invalids, and' if the punishment, were severe if' would fall on their - heads, because; the boys were the sole support of, their father and mother.
