GRAVEL- AND ; STONE. When there is a sediment like brick-dust iutheurine.it is a certain indication that the kidneys are not doing their work properly, and immediately steps should be taken to restore their healthy action. H this precaution is neglected, the particles will gradually become larger, and the miserable suffering caused by GraveL or Stone will result. ■ Stones are usually formed m the kidneys, and descend- thence into the bladder. They ra composed of urid acid, or of oxalate of lime ; solid matter which .should be held m solution m the fluids of the body, and be passed off m a dissolved condition m the urine. Urio acid stone is by far the commonest kind. When a stone is formed m a kidney great pain m tke loin* is felt, and this becomes agonising when, the stono leaves the kidney and passes through one of the narrow channels lfading to theiiladdar. The. pain then experienced is known as Kidney Colic. Xi ceases wherrthe stone reaches the bladder. ,' Once m the bladder,. the stone may be passed off with the urine, or it may remain and become larger by the accumulation of deposits. Sometimes a stone may form m the bladder by the simple gathering together of particles of gravel. Persons of all ages may suffer from stone or gravel. Even little ohildren are not exempt.' ■■'.■*!". :,;•... '~v ; ;-.. .■■'•..••■■ ■ "..',' When a stone formed m the kidneys ifl too large to pass.through the passage leading into the bladder, the passage becomes closed, dropsy sets m, and the patient may die m a few hours. , , When stones remain long m the bladder they grow to a;gr«at size; sometimes as large M an orange, and they frequently have to be out out. , The following- symptoms indicate stone or gravel m the. kidneys or bladder .'—Painful itching sensation ; swelling of the seat of pain ; cramps m the legs and scrotum ; bearing down sensation m rectal region; escape of water, involuntarily, m drops; great agony succeeding successful urination, paroxysms of pain from kidneys to bladder — " kidney colic ;" pain arid difficulty m urinating, with sudden stoppages. Treatment.— The only rational method of treatment for this disease is to correct the action of the kidneys, thereby removing the cause. In a healthy condition of the kidneys and urinary system the water holds the solids' m solution until it escapes from' the body. In -dwoaee the solids are deposited m the kidneys and bladder. * ■ Warner's Safe Cure restores to the kidneys their natural action, relieves congestion, heals the wounded and 1 bleeding mucous membranes of the urinary system, dissolves the stones already formed, and prevents further formation. Warner's Safe Cure is the only remedy m the world which has this power, and if the cwie is amenable to any ynorHcinal form of treatment, ; it will ultimately effect a cure. Bladder Disease. Inflammation or Catarrh of the Bladder (Cystitis) is usually due to long retention of urine; the effect of irritating drugs ; stricture; enlargement of the prostrate gland ', irritation caused by «tooe or gravel, or by the careless use of a catheter ; exposure to cold ; decomposition of urine caused by its retention, eto. There are two forms of this complaint— Acute and Chronic— the latter being peculiar to elderly people. It is commoner m winter than m summer; m cold than m warm climates ; m males than m females. It is always dependant upon some obstruction to fits flow of urine, or upon a- diseased condition of the urinary organs. The Bladder not being entirely emptied, the water retained decomposes. The kidneys are generally seriously involved m the mischief, the catarrh being usually ft secondary symptom of disease of the kidneys, and unless these are restored to their Sfttoral condition a cure cannot be effected, Warner's Safe Cure corrects the unnatural condition of the kidneys, prevents the ioemation of pus and mucus by healing the inflamed membranes, and causes the water to fceeome normal. .'"'©' »;A treatise containing many letters from people who have been cured of Stono, Gravel and Bladder Disease wM be Mat post free bj H, H, Warner and Co,, Ltd,, Australasian ctatiMb, M«ibQura#«
