YAWNED

And Unjointed Her ffeck.

A pretty young society belle of Denver, Colorado,- U.S.A., awoke and yawned broadly* and vigorously, on February 2 last and actually disnlaced two of her dorsal vertebrae. She yelled for help and a medical man was able to reduce tlie dislocation, though he found the bones fully an inch out of plumb, to the right side of the neck. He said that the injury "might easily have proved fatal. What Miss Cushing herself said was : "I'm well' now, "but yawn— never again !"
