.The athletic meeting to be held next Saturday by the Wellington Hibernian Society promises to be a successful affair, provided good weather obtains.- Hitherto the Hibernians have been wont to hold a picnic and sports meeting m the country, but this year, m combination with the Catholic Young . Men's Anateur Club, they are holding their sports on the Basin Reserve. The arrangements have been placed m. the. hands •of Jack Callaghan, and with his usual dash that experienced secretary has drawn up a most attractive programme, all branches of .the'*sport being catered for. Entries close tonight with Messrs Ever son and Lambert; Willis-street, or with the sectretary, St. Patrick's Hall. The handicans are to be adjusted by Peter McColl, whose recent efforts have been so well spoken of-.
