This from an Australian paper :— The dreadfully smart railway men of New Zealand some months ago sold a' lot of, their ancient and, decayed rolline stock, to the placid fossil m charge of the West Australian lines at very nearly its value when new, and the New Zealand department still wakes up m the night to laugh over the deal. Recently the bottom fell out of one of the mouldered hprse-trucks , attached to the Coolgardie express and the train reached the next station with a horrid mass of mangled horse meat trailing behind it. It rniirht just as easily have been a rasscnrer-carriage, and the meat been a syndicate travelling to invest half a million m wild-cat mines.
