Mr. Walter Bennett, ex-Minister of Works m the Waddell-See Ministry, and now Member of the Legislative ■ Assembly for Durham, New South Wales, has been, with his wife, doing southern New Zealand on a health tour and leaves for Sydney to-<day by the Maheno. Mr- Bennett is, personally, one of the most popular politicians m Australia, and, as a fact, is a natiive son of New Zealand.. He says that, m a commercial sense, Wellington beats Christchurch and Dunedin bandy. A man cannot be judged by the size of^his collar.
