'(By "Boxer Major.") It is much to be regretted that the silly prejudice of an aggregation of putty-fisted doodahs, calling themselves the Wellington Centre of the N.Z. Boxing Association, should have prevented Wellingtonians from seeing , that brilliant Sydney welterweight, Jack BlacJonore, m action. Tim Tracey would have been only too willing to meet the Rocks crack, but, merely because he had been connectwith a gaffing joint since he came over here, the sally scenter refused to entertain the idea of pitting gallant Japk against another m a set to. New Zealanders have never seen such a man performing, and it is a pity they should have been debarred from so doing by the action of a little cotere of breeched -'old women who know as much about the game as Julius Caesar's aunt's cat knew about.the ancestry of the autropophagi and who have as much fitness or right to control boxing m the place as Rockfeller has. to control the Taranaki oil springs.
