It is a scandalous action on the part of ;the dailies to publish the full . name of a respectable man who is fined for a, first offence m the drunk line. This shameful thing was done m the case of a reputable citizen by the * 'Times!' only this week, and it is extremely doubtful if the sufierer from this totally unwarranted publication, has not a remedy ■ at civil law. The proposition to discontinue the present trains from the Thorndon station : to Te Aro should be most vigorously jumped on. by the Minister for Railways. When the evening train arrives at Wellington and unloads its .cargo of Petone and Ngahauranga workmen there is a wild blackguard rush for tram cars going Te Aro-wards, with much attendant cursing and picturesque blasphemy. All this could be obviated by simply runninf the train right through to Te Aro. How much extra would it cost the Department m coal and 'axle gr&ase, anyhow ?,
