A resident of Islarid Bay, who desires that his name shall not be published, having read our story of the shocking state of poverty and want .that the Adams family 1 have -been reduced to by the ill-health of the bread-winner, sends along a ; most kindly and Christian offer. He says he is unable to assist with cash, being only a wages man, but has a vacant room which he Will be only too happy to place at the disposal of Adams and his wife for a couple of months, rent free. He addS that Mrs Adams would be able to get plenty of wofk m the district. This gentleman writes to "Truth" instead of direct to Adams, as he read that the couple would be turned out Of the address given m the report of the case. He writes : "I make this offei* to Mr Adajhs ias' I am very sorry indeed that a man should be m the position that, should not exist m 'God's Own Country.' " Adams can obtain the name and address of this Samaritan at this office.
