The Seamen's Rest ,had the first of .its series of concerts, for the year, on Monday, and it was a great success. Miss Hurley arranged a capital programme, which was ably carried out by the following ladies and gentlemen.;— Miss Hurley and her two sisters, E., and 0. Hurley, Mrs Swinbourne, Misses Ludwig and Doris Greville, Messrs P. and C. Proctor, Kilner, and C. Meek A large number of seamen thoroughly appreciated the items, and hearty thanks and cheers for the performers. Next week the Wellington Banjo and Mandoline Band have promised the Rest an entertainment.
