OPERA HOUSE.
••The Man Prom Mexico."
Messrs Willoughby and Ward presented last night, for the first time m * Wellington, H. A. dv Souchet's brilli- ~- ant farce-comedy "The Man from; Mexico," which has had an • cxtraordi- ■ nary vogue m America, England and Australia, and a full house received it as so good a composition and so deliciously amusing a laugh-maker deserved to be greeted. The hilarity is practically continuous and the house took to the piece and the actors; and saw the jokes and enjoyed the screamingly funny situations m a manner that did credit to its perspicuity and sense of humor. Miss Grace Falott^. the world-famous beauty-actress and danseuse, was at once en rapport with her audience and her spirited/, graceful and always bright and vivacious rendering of the part of the wife of the bogus man from Mexttsb does the lady infinite credit. Hugh Ward, as the huabami, the man who accounts for his, absence of .30 days CJn gaol for a lazzle-dazzle-rallj^aboo) oy, saving he has been to Mexico, is simply sniendid and it is safe to Say that the talenied comedian has nevfer done aiivthing better^ Mr Willoughby; is also 'thoroughly at home, and isa fi,t mate for the other two m theft '^ trio turns. The staging, dressing, and setting qt the piece are complete m every detail and the whole . production, a credit, to all concerned. The. comedy wjll be repeated this evening and until further notice an:l no lover of a really good thing should miss seeing it.
