The attention of owners and trainers is dr&wn to the programme of the above Cftib which appears m this issue.'- The' sum of £1260 is to he given m stakes for the two days, and* -the' programme is an interesting and varied one. The principal open events on the opening day are the Masterton Cup, of 175 soys, 1\ miles, and the Publican's Handicap, of 120 soys, 7 furlongs. There are three Hack Flat events, a hack hurdle handicap, a maiden race and the first day's programme is completed with a Ladies' Bracelet Handicap, of 1£ miles. In the latter event Mrs C. F. Vallance will present the rider of the winner with a siold mounted whip. On the second day the events are much the same, except that a Scurry Hack, 5 furlongs, takes the place of the gentlemen rider's event. „. Nominations for all events-, excepting the Maiden Hack Race, close With the secretary at his office, Queen-street, Masterton, on Friday, Bih. October, 1906, at .9.30 p.m. Weights for the First day's races will be declared on or before Saturday, the 13th October, 1906. Acceptances for the first day's races and entries for the Maiden Hack Race close with the secretary on Friday, the 19th October, 1406, at 9.30 p.m.
