F'rinstance, the following charming little par from the "Feilding Star" :— "A pleasant feature of the Rongotea Farmers' Union gathering was the presence of the ladies, which gave the function a decided tone, altogether unlike places where the fair sex are excluded. Who could not agnrcciate . such delicious refreshments as dispensed last night, and by a: host 'of charming waitresses?"
